There is a form of courage that the times we’re living in are asking us to reclaim. It’s the courage to engage your brightness and gifts pretty much imperfectly.
One of the biggest traps I’ve noticed for many spiritual seekers (myself included) is the urge to want to be perfect in the expression of our gifts and our light.
We want our gifts to be polished and beyond reproach. And because of that, sometimes we often don’t express them at all.
We protect them by repressing them, and it becomes a great motive underneath self sabotage.
What happens then? We continue to keep our brightness in the shadow.
I would even say that, if you want to make sure that someone will not express their brightness and their gifts, all you have to do is to convince them they have to do it perfectly or in a way that is beyond reproach.
Would you agree?
Deep down, we know the truth: expressing your light perfectly is a myth.
This is a perspective you’ll have to reclaim and embrace if you are to truly bring to the world the full extent of what you came here to create.
The Courage to Express Imperfectly
The courage that is required right now is the courage to shine imperfectly. Yes, imperfectly.
To let your brightness come through even when it’s raw, messy, or risks causing you to be misunderstood.
And here’s the deeper key: to do it without shutting down your heart.
It takes to build a great deal of emotional capacity to be able to do that.
Without cultivating that capacity, our light remains repressed in our shadow.
Reclaiming the Golden Shadow
As you already know by now, the golden shadow is the light you consciously/unconsciously keep in the dark.
The gifts that are so intimate and so close to your essence, that you learned to repress them.
When you reclaim the Golden Shadow, you build the capacity to unleash the light you once dimmed.
You dissolve the inner resistance and self-sabotage that kept you hiding.
And your light, rather than your fear, begins to call the shots.
That is the journey I want to take you through.
