I’ve always been fascinated by the stories of rebels. The underdogs who won’t stop fighting. The ones who decided to not be crushed by the weight of powerlessness. The ones who know at a visceral level that there is no true safety in chronically silencing yourself.

It’s as if they are possessed by an inner fire that is meant to burn everything that disempowers them.

They are allergic to any form of external authority. Especially when that perceived authority asks them to disregard what is true within.

From the outside it may seem like they are chaotic and reckless, but deep down they are following a clear principle. And they are mirroring something deep within ourselves.

That something deep that gets stirred within you when you see these people who won’t get tamed, I call it the divine rebel.

It’s an archetypal force that you are invited to reclaim in order to liberate yourself from all forms of self abandonment.

That inner fire needs to become an ally if you are truly to express your authenticity and unleash yourself in the world in ways your soul needs you to.

The rise of the divine rebel

I see the divine rebel as one of the most potent archetypes of self liberation.

It is this deep voice within that says: “I will not allow anyone or anything to get me to reject what is true for me.”

The divine rebel within you is actually less reckless than most people think. It is an archetype that is very obedient, even though that may sound counterintuitive.

It is obedient to the soul. Obedient to your inner knowing. Obedient to the voice of your heart. And it is equipped with an inner fire that wants to burn your allegiance to any form of falsehood.

When you reclaim this inner force, you are able to hold your truth and your light without collapsing.
