On the outside, it appears to be wanting to discourage you or hinder your light, but deep down it assesses if you have reclaimed the spiritual and emotional “real estate” or capital to finance your calling.

Most people try to handle their inner saboteur with pressure, criticism, or spiritual wrath.

They collapse into the same inner monologue:
“Why can’t I be more devoted?”
“Why am I not consistent enough?”
“Why am I still repeating this pattern?”

So they end up in a double bind. Between the saboteur who contracts from visibility… And the spiritual inner critic who shames them for contracting.

And that shame spiral becomes its own form of self-sabotage.

Not only are they not honoring what their soul is inviting them to do… They’re also beating themselves up for not doing it. It’s a vicious circle.

One that keeps their light shut down.

But here’s the truth: Your saboteur is not an enemy. It’s a shadow guide. It points to the places within you where fragmentation is hindering your capacity to move forward… so that you can resolve it.

This archetype doesn’t emerge to ruin your life.

Handling the saboteur requires skill. It requires the willingness and capacity to meet your contraction without collapsing into shame.
