What reclaiming your light will no longer let you get away with...
Your light is the most ruthless magnifying glass
Here is a quote by Marianne Williamson that has been popularized over the years.
One that sounds nice and that has reached millions of hearts. But that I’ve never ‘fully’ resonated with, even though I believe there is some profound truth to it.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.”
―Marianne Williamson
I agree that there is something deeply unsettling about looking at our light and potential in the eye. It can send a chill down your spine.
It brings up primal fears that most people don’t know how to begin to deal with.
What I’ve also seen is that when people build the capacity to meet these fears without shutting down, they are no longer afraid of their light. They start having a secure relationship with it.
This is the reason why this theme occupies such an important place in my work.
Your deepest fear is NOT that you are powerful beyond measure
Your power and your light are not what scare you.
What scares you is that deep down you know that reclaiming them will take you through a process of inner annihilation.
What scares you is the deep knowing that reclaiming your light won’t let you get away with not meeting your inadequacies and learning to love them.
Reclaiming your light will not let you get away with not embracing the parts of you that you don’t know how to love yet.
Reclaiming your light will not let you get away with not facing core fears such as humiliation, alienation, loss, persecution or the death of an identity.
Your light is a magnifying glass. Before it illuminates the world, it must illuminate you.
And deep down we know that embracing and expressing it requires that we learn to love the parts of us we’ve been conditioned to reject.
That is what the deepest fear is.
At a cellular level, I think people unconsciously know it. Reclaiming your light, allowing yourself to be truly seen in it, puts you face to face with your shadow.
This is also where many people get stuck. Especially when they focus on strategies that depend too much on willpower, positive thinking, spiritual transcendence or just waiting to be ready.
Building the inner capacity to stay present with what gets activated after you stop hiding is a skill that needs to be built.
If reclaiming your light came without friction, grief, or destabilization, most people would embrace it without hesitation.
The real work of liberation, then, is not learning how to shine. Shining is our first nature. The real work of liberation is learning how to meet with an open heart everything that once made shining feel unsafe.
This is the work we do in SEEN, which is a 6-week immersion where I hold people in dissolving the hidden forces that prevent them from reclaiming their expression and bringing their gifts to the world.
Your personal invitation to SEEN
SEEN is a 6-week immersion designed to help you stop negotiating with the parts of you that learned to stay quiet, agreeable, or invisible in order to feel safe.
It’s for those who already know what’s true for them, and yet still feel the internal friction when it comes time to live it out loud.
SEEN isn’t about learning how to express yourself. This is something deep down you know. No one else can tell you what your authenticity is supposed to look like.
It’s about dissolving the fears that make expression feel costly, destabilizing, or unsafe.
Inside SEEN, you’ll be guided to:
Dissolve the fears we associate with being seen, including humiliation, alienation, persecution, loss and more…
Reclaim your voice without self-betrayal, even when it creates discomfort or tension
Integrate what happens after you speak your truth, so expression doesn’t lead to collapse or withdrawal
Strengthen nervous system capacity for visibility, leadership, and relational honesty
Anchor a deeper sense of inner safety, so hiding is no longer how you protect yourself
If you are willing to face and dissolve the shadow material that hinders your full expression, then SEEN is for you.

your pieces really be getting to the point, Xavier! I've seen the opening quote so many times over the last few weeks alone that it feels like someone yelling it to me through a loud microphone, but in a powerful, need to hear it type of way. however, I love how you switched it up and broke it down a bit.
"The real work of liberation, then, is not learning how to shine. Shining is our first nature. The real work of liberation is learning how to meet with an open heart everything that once made shining feel unsafe."
^^this is what really got me and I'm going to sit with it a bit more, thank you!
