When your inner child runs your business and your light.
How childhood relational imprints quietly shape your purpose, and why now is the moment to uproot them.
As we’re just less than 24 hours away from the “Uprooting the Relational Shadows That Hijack Your Mission” retreat, I want to share a piece of my own story with you. I talked about it on a live today.
This will help you connect to a bit of the work we will be doing tomorrow.
Growing up as the second child in a large family of 6 kids with two working parents in the 90s in Africa, during a time of economic crisis, I internalized a few things…
To feel connected with mom, we had to help her as the oldest sons. With chores, taking care of younger siblings and not burdening her more, because she was already working pretty hard as a teacher. And plus the work of taking care of a home was hard. That was just the reality back then.
Value internalized: to be loved, I need to over-give. Over-giving = being a good person. Not needing rest means being strong.
Distortion internalized: I don’t know how to nurture self. Or I need to nurture myself just enough so that I can give a lot more. Rest is not OK. Relying on others is dangerous. I need to drive myself to exhaustion to feel good enough. This results in the distortion of the inner mother & inner father within me. Letting people down becomes a great fear. And not feeling appreciated when I feel like I’ve given enough a deep trigger.
How that showed up in my mission? Pattern of over-giving and under-receiving. Sometimes it used to feel like “prostituting” my light. I went through a period of running my business from the inner child that wanted to be approved of by the “collective mother and father” if you wish. Which can also drive to overwhelm. The consequence, my work felt more like a burden.
I have many stories like this about my own journey. This is just one that I’ve had to undo, to create a work that I enjoy and that is not burdening. This require diving deep into our relational shadows.
Why am I sharing that map with you? Because it offered me a clear idea of what I needed to work on to undo some of the blocks I was experiencing in my practice. That was a great bridge I needed. And my practices of shadow integration served me well to undo these blocks and the journey continues.
The point is, many people are not even aware of some of the relational shadows that still show up in the ways they serve and shine their light.
Yes you have probably worked on mother and father wounds before. And that is fantastic.
The work we will do tomorrow is about refining your integration, especially when it comes to shining your light and bringing your mission to the world.
I want you to have your own maps. And I want to take you through the journey of inner integration so that you can emerge as the sovereign leader your mission needs especially now.
These relational imprints from childhood often create distorted values about what it looks like to unleash your gifts to the world.
And what we will do is to create deeper inner coherence so that you can become the leader your mission deserves.
So that shining your light and expressing your gifts is no longer something you approach with dread because of the fears it will expose you to.
The reality is that our inherited values, born from old wounds, can quietly hijack our mission.
They keep us from showing up fully, resting when we need to, and leading from a place of inner authority. That’s what I want to support you to reclaim.
In tomorrow’s retreat, we’ll dive into how these relational shadows shape our values and how we can rewrite them. I’ll guide you to uncover the old stories that have been running your mission and help you create new, more liberating ones.
If you’ve felt the tug to join us, this is your invitation. We have room for a few more beautiful souls who are ready to step into 2026 from a place of clarity and self-trust. Please save your seat here: → Reserve your seat here (link)

Here’s what the day will look like:
PART I — Mapping the Relational Blueprint that hijacks your light
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM EST | 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM PST
We begin by illuminating the relational patterns that shape how you lead, express, create, and receive. You will map your inner mother, inner father, attachment patterns, and inner child dynamics, and see how each one influences your mission.
This block sets the foundation for healing by making the unconscious visible.
PART II — Healing the Mother & Father Shadows
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST
This is a deeper descent into the somatic and emotional layers of your relational imprint. We’ll use breathwork, somatic release, and guided shadow integration to soften and repair the imprints that distort your sense of inner safety, visibility, belonging, and authority.
This is where profound inner reconciliation begins.
PART III — The Emergence of the Sovereign Leader
3:30 PM – 5:30 PM EST | 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM PST
In our final segment, we rebuild your mission from truth rather than survival.
You will reconnect with your inner authority, clarify your 2026 energetic blueprint, and anchor a leadership identity rooted in the heart — not the wound.
This block is about integration, embodiment, and stepping into a new inner posture toward your mission.
This live online retreat is your inner reset before the end of the year.
If your voice feels larger than the space you allow yourself to take, then this work is for you.
And now is the perfect moment to do it.
