It lands. There is so much fear underneath this exhaustion. Fear of judgment, of being not enough, or standing “against” the mainstream. I found your message very significant for me today, and the Trojan horse is a synchronicity for me, as I’ve always been calling my work with this exact name :)

I feel that being this horse requires lots of strength and clarity. Wisdom. Understanding. Maybe some people just need a break before stepping into this mission. I can relate.

Lately, I just feel this stillness that is not interested in sharing my writing right now and is maybe asking to start something new? I don’t know yet. Everything feels stale and sharing and the effort of thinking about that feels like slogging through mud. Maybe because there was such a heaviness and lack of joy in the sharing.

Its interesting, earlier today I was listening to an interview with Jacob Collier, a really cool musician- and he was talking about uploading his music on YouTube in 2014 and just the ability to play with what what was interesting in the creative soup that YouTube was at the time. He made the distinction between participating and contributing.

He said, as an example, later he did a session with Joni Mitchell and some other great musicians and at first your participating… listening, experimenting before maybe at the 6th take you find your contribution. Today, you’re expected to come in with that contribution ready-made . But part of that development and the joy is just coming in with something interesting to you that’s not refined yet. ( a bit of a tangent but it was a great interview)
