I listened to The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer years ago which helped dramatically with this, buuutttt it has taken years to fully “get it”, and it’s a constant practice of bringing myself back to the present, letting go of the false sense of control, processing the energy thru my kundalini surges, and observing what’s coming up without over identifying with it.

Finally pretty much “there”, although not exactly a destination. Starting a psychic channeling biz, so I suppose that’s something!😃

There’s something important here about emotional capacity that often gets skipped when people say “just surrender.” That part lands. Where I get cautious is when surrender starts getting framed as identity annihilation rather than a loosening of mistaken identification. One invites coherence. The other can quietly turn struggle into a virtue.

hahah the “what the fuck are you talking about?” is so real. i remember the first time someone told me to “just let go”…and where do you expect me to put all this pain that i’m invisibly carrying but have no idea how to let go of?! thankfully i have traversed the path a little further since then.

really enjoyed your perspective on the annihilation of self and building of emotional capacity for all your parts, helped me piece some of my ponderings on this together. thank you for sharing your words.

As someone who just recently actually understood what surrender requires, this is spot on. I heavily relate to feeling dismissed in the past by the “just surrender” people. It really does take so much effort and fortitude to learn to release control. Ironic, but Spirit usually is paradoxical. Thank you for this affirming article!

Thank you 🙏 I “surrendered” into my souls calling 18 months ago and never could have imagined the internal struggle, my nervous system going into full meltdown and the feeling of no longer knowing who I was……your words deeply resonate and also in some ways reassuring that this is ok, I can relate to it all now. I also see now I could never have reached all these parts within me without taking that leap. I’ve completed day one of the challenge - powerful thank you

Such meaty things to unpack & honour - a lot like this post. (thank you 🤍)
