Unlocking the divine intelligence hidden in your breath
What your breath can teach you about healing, prosperity and transformation.
I constantly think about the mystical nature of the breath. I mean… constantly.
My fascination for the breath began when I had acute episodes of sudden asthma back in 2015. And it was quite terrifying.
Back then a journaling prompt I was using almost daily was this one:
What my breath is trying to tell me today is…
That was the beginning of a journey of having my own breath as a teacher.
What comes up for you as you tune into your current breathing pattern and ask that question?
I just can’t help but seeing the breath as more than just a mechanical process that brings oxygen to our cells and clears CO2 from our lungs.
I love that modalities such as breathwork have become so mainstream to help people heal and regulate their nervous systems. And I think there is more.
I like to think of the breath as a mystical teacher that has a consciousness of its own. One that works in deep harmony with your cells and your soul. One that wants to support your integration and your aliveness.
To me the breath is that sacred bridge between the earth and the ethers.
Most people have a strong unconscious trust in their breath. We take it for granted.
They trust that after an exhale, the next inhale will come. They operate from the trust that there is no scarcity of air.
They trust that as they go to sleep, the breath will keep unfolding.
And by the way, I am not saying that any of this is wrong or inappropriate. Yet I think there is a teaching in there that is often overlooked.
Where am I going with all these statements?
What would it look like for you to live your life as a devotee of the breath?
This goes beyond breathing techniques and what type of breathwork you like most.
But what if a healthier relationship with your breath was a way to have a healthier relationship with life at large and to prosper? What is your breath was more than just a physiological mechanism but a master key on the path of your evolution?

The divine intelligence hidden in your breath
In this week’s episode of ENHEARTENED, I sit down with Christopher August, a master breathwork facilitator and author of “Master your breath, transform your life”.
We explore the breath not just as a physical function, but as a sacred portal into divine intelligence, emotional alchemy, and true inner freedom.
Christopher shares the raw details of his near-death experience on the Zambezi River, how it awakened him to the power of the breath, and how healing his father wound opened the door to deeper devotion, truth, and service.
This is a deeply soulful conversation about shame, emotional release, and prosperity as a breath-based frequency.
Whether you’re a breathwork skeptic or a devoted practitioner, this episode will expand your understanding of what’s possible when you learn to breathe fully, consciously, and courageously.
We explore:
How breathwork helps heal shame, repression, and masculine wounds
The link between breath and abundance
What it means to live a breath-centered life
How to trust life like you trust your next inhale
The spiritual intelligence encoded in every breath you take

I practice breath work daily to reset and move from a regulated baseline after I wake up and feel my emotions and check in with myself. It’s a beautiful tool for me to stay grounded in the gift that keeps on giving.
The Buddha also emphasized the importance of the breath. It conditions the body and creates bodily fabrications, i.e. how you experience your body is directly influenced by the breath.
