So many parallels here with my own journey. I felt a tremendous weight lift when I leaned into the idea of “what if I am never a well recognized writer”. Or “what if I don’t finish the book?” Just allowing myself to merge with that possible reality allowed me to contact a self-love that was far less conditional than how I’d been holding myself previously. That self-acceptance and relief ended up releasing creative blockage. It was like, I’m free to write because it’s medicine for me. Not for any other reason. Like when I was a child and wrote stories and poetry. It was me connecting with my soul , not me trying to serve or be seen. That innocence and carefreeness being reclaimed is has resulted in unbridled flow that i didn’t know was possible. Your writing has been so helpful to me in that journey! So thank you for that!
I love this and thank you for the reminder that we are not just our writing. That there is so much more to us and the creative process. Agreement #5 really stands out for me. I definitely find myself sometimes wondering what I should write and then remember, it's what flows through me that is what I write. Not about what my logical brain says would hit well with subscribers. But truly what feels good to write as it flows from me.
